HSBC debit card withdrawal from non-HSBC ATM?

I always travel to the HSBC bank in my city for withdrawals, but today I can't get there and I need some money.
There's an ATM at the local Tescos, but could I use it? If it worked, how much would they charge me for taking £20 out with my debit card?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't find anywhere for debit cards.

According to the below article link members scrapped charges in 2000. Its only the 'non bank' convenience ones that charge.

Ah... This could be brilliant? There's a Link machine even closer than Tescos.
So, can anyone use this or do I have to register for it first or anything?0 -
You'll be able to use any machine without registering, with your debit card. Happy shopping!Getting married 02.08.14

All machines that charge must warn you beforehand - they are usually the free-standing ones or those attached to places like McDonalds, football grounds etc.
Most (if not all) Bank-branded (that includes Tesco and the like) machines can be used by customers of any other bank without charge.0 -
Thanks for the info!0
