I can't understand it all myself either. He has about 7-8 staff, My mrs doesn't like to confront people but this is not right, sad thing is she actually like the job. She gets paid in cash, I would love to report the !!!!! but its not my place.0

The guys words exactly were, it is going through the books, so my Mrs got £40 for 8 hours work, I told her this was not right and to question him, his response was the rest went on tax and national insurance, Now my Mrs work 17+ years in a supermarket part time 16 hours per week and she never paid tax or national insurance for that matter.
So it is cash in hand, just not the correct amount of cash in said hand.0 -

There is no tax and Ni on NMW @ 8 hours
Get her to ask for a payslip to show that they have taken TAX and NI and if she wont ask then there is nothing we can do about it
