Derby in August

We're having a family holiday in Derby in August (near Matlock). Any recommendations of good things to go? Age range 2 - 60!

The monkey forest is a great day out. Everyone would enjoy it. Chatsworth is also lovely. x

If you all fancy a relaxing day by a huge paddling pool, with boating, playpark, small flower gardens, etc etc theres Markeaton Park on the outskirts of Derby - fabulous when its a hot sunny day.

is also jolly nice, bike hire, canoes, nice playpark, nice walks etc.

Alton Towers only 35 approx mins away,

Sudbury Hall Museum of Cildhood is jolly good as well.

Sudbury Prison for a nice meal (Made by and served by inmates..!!),

Tissington Trail - nice bike ride
