Apple iMac help!-everything's big!

Hi all,

was just wondering if anyone can help me please?

my sister has a apple imac g5 and i was using it not realising that the mouse is a bit dodgy, she has the apple mouse that has the scroll thing on it (it's not the wireless one), anyway what's happened is that you know when you want to zoom into something (in my case it was an ebay item) well i zoomed in using the 'ctrl' key and going up on the mouse and i can't make it go back to the normal original size. the mouse only scrolls up and doesn't scroll down.

Everything's so big! and the screen's making me dizzy cos everythings so hard to find!

i've tried going into system preferences and going into mouse & keyboard options to turn mouse scrolling off but still no luck.

Please if anyone can help me restore it to how it was i would be eternally grateful.

By the sound of it just your browser is zoomed in. If so, go under the View menu in FireFox and set the Text Size back to Normal. It's pretty much the same in Safari or Opera (you didn't mention which browser).

hi, thanks for the answers but i've already tried them.

i am using firefox but i don't think this has anything to do with it?

my whole computer is zoomed in, desktop, everything! everything is extra zoomed in (I've never seen a folder so big that only the corner fits on the screen!)

right. open system preferences, open universal access, turn zoom off.

You could, of course, have plugged in *any* USB mouse with a scrollwheel.
