in Credit cards
Getting mucked around at the speed of a blocked toilet by Nationwide over a section 75 consumer credit act claim concerning a kitchen purchase. The amount involved was split between debit and credit cards, unusually the initial (and largest) portion being paid by debit card. I simply have not received what I paid for and to date Nationwide have failed to relate their refusal to either pursue the vendor or compensate me to paragraphs of the act or clarify in any meaningful manner.
I have an incomplete kitchen including components quite different from those specified. The seller refuses to do anything.
Is it Ombudsman then small claims court? Suggestions please.....
Thanks in advance

Difficult to say given you haven't fully explaining why you haven't received what you paid for.
But note Financial Ombudsman won't touch the case unless you've complained to Nationwide and given them 8 weeks to respond (you may already have done this). In terms of compensation, you specify you've got an incomplete kitchen etc. so it isn't simply a case of refunding but cost of rework (as you've received some value) so slightly more involved than not having received the product.0 -
1) Make a formal complaint
2) If you have legal cover with your home insurance or trade union, ask them to get involvedWe need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

What exactly have Nationwide said ? Why have they said they can't help ? What did you ask for ?0
