capital one are useless

I brought my boyfriend a pc game from big fish games for |£5.00 on my capital one card. This was a one off purchase.............. Since then big fish have been taking $9.99 from my account.

I've asked capital one to cancel this payment and have explaned but they say only big fish game can cancel this montly payment!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek:

I've sent big fish several emails and they just keep taking my money.

What can i do?

Please help me...................................

Inform Capital One that you have lost your credit card then no-one in any circumstances can take any more money from it. Then you can relax a bit while you chase the money they have already taken in error.

I don't think that will work, as its classed as a cpa(continuous payment authourity). So the genuine(which is what they will class this as, as its a cpa) will just get transferred each month over to the new account.
The problem lies with the company that you did the purchase with.
Call capital one back and advise them that you want to dispute the transaction.
They should send you the relevant paperwork to sign, also send back copies of the emails that you sent cancelling the cpa and then Capital One should be able to go to that compant and claim the funds back for you.

They do not have the authority to cancel it without going through this process, as you set it up/authorised it in the 1st place, even though it was not what you agreed to.

Yeah, they have sent me all the fraud stuff and now i'm filling out the forms but i havent got the original order to big fish games.

Its so annoying but thank you both xxx

It will work. I speak from personal experience. No-one can take money from a lost or stolen credit card.
