Technically, your Son's credit should remain fine as long as he is financially separate from his girlfriend. Problems may arise if/when they move in together though.
In my case, I am in the IVA, but by virtue of the fact that the mortgage is in joint names, my Wife's ability to obtain credit has been affected by 'association' with me.
Best your Son gets some independant financial advice (not from the girlfriend's IP, who will no doubt assure you it will all be fine) for a professional opinion.0 -
As long as they have no financial links, possibly including a joint tenancy as some are being reported to the CRAs, there should be no problems.0
