What to do in Perranporth?

We are going to Perranporth 23rd June, (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 x puppy approx 20 wks) just for 4 days. Just wondered if there are any nice long walks, nice places to eat in the evening, or anything else that you can recommend that we can do or see?? I might even try a bit of surfing weather permitting that is!! Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
