Long Terms and conditions to be hosted online:
1. Open to UK residents (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 +, excluding employees (and their immediate family) of ASDA and their affiliated companies, and anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
2. All entries must be received by midnight on the 26th June 2013.

Texts will be charged at your standard rate (typically 10-12p) but may not be included within a prepaid text package.
4. Maximum one entry per person. No entrant may win more than one prize and only one prize will be awarded per household. The promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be attempting to circumvent this clause by tampering with the operation of the promotion, setting up multiple accounts, using multiple identities, multiple mobiles or to be acting in any manner deemed by the promoter to be in violation of the terms and conditions; or to be acting in any manner deemed by the promoter to be disruptive. In the event the claim for a prize is not received by the Promoter within 6 weeks of the initial notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original. No responsibility can be taken for claims which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason.

Unless my eyes mistake me the rules now seem to have been modified to make this a purchase necessary competition.

The first paragraph of the T&C's now ends with the words "Keep receipt to claim."

And condition # 12 now reads "The Promoter will require your receipt in order to validate any win. Original itemised receipts must be sent in within 28 days of being notified and must be correctly dated within the promotional period.. No duplicate, damaged, defaced, unreadable receipts will be accepted. Receipts must be from ASDA.

Closing date also seems to have been extended until 4th July.

I e-mailed the promoter who claims that the terms and conditions were always purchase necessary and "keep receipt to claim."

I am sure they would look at the date of the receipt? I know it's happened before and someone was refused a prize as the receipt was dated after they were informed of the win.

This is a scan of the paper entry form I picked up in Asda a couple of days ago clearly showing two purchases of any Nestle cereal are required.



The only good news for those that have already entered without making a purchase is that the modified rules do seem to allow receipts so long as they are dated within the promotional period and not necessarily before the date of entry. If you're worried then there's still time to pop into Asda to stock up on Shredded Wheat or something.
