plaster over wallpaper-any way to remove?

Hi,
We are in the process of buying a house. One of the bedrooms has been plastered but its been over wallpaper-all around the room!!
Any ideas how to remove this and leave intact walls? why would anyone do that in the first place?

did you say the plaster has been put on over the wall paper..?
if so then no there is no option but to remove all the plaster and wallpaper and start againneed to have a lightbulb moment0 -
sorry-it does sounda bit vague!
yes-the bedroom wall has been plastered and its been plastered over wallpaper that had already been there.

strip the plastered wallpaper off and if need be you may have to skim the walls,usually plaster will only stick to woodchip paper.don't get mad do yoga0
