Ok here is the end of week summary;
Jan 14 Monthly budget
Food = £350
Personal = £150
Total spend = 179.46
Food incl massive approved food stock up on dried goods = £119.60
Personal incl new trainers for ds tennis & 10 in card for 40th bday pressie = £59.86
Not bad in comparison to my usual random spending but next week should be much better, no birthday, no new trainers needed & I am although I have brought in breakfast & lunch all this week I plan to also bring snacks to work too next week to cut the 4.70 I put on works canteen card to cover emergency sugar needs
I also have a store cupboard HEAVING with soups, pasta, rice, makings for indian, malaysia & chinese food, I have meat in the freezer too so apart from eggs, milk & ham I just need for veg & maybe one meat product to fill out next weeks meal plan.
Mission this week, no more than £30 on food shop& no more than £20 on personal expenses.
So balance left over for the rest of the month is;
Food = 230.40
Personal = 90.14I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Spend so far:
27 = Aldi
26 = Asda
9 = emergency mcdonalds
9=Ds hair cut
Total this week so far: £71 (53 food & 18 personal)
Sunday was a NSD & today I managed to get a salad using left over money on work canteen card & a tin of tuna brought from home so technically another NSD today too.
I plan to withdraw £10 tomorrow for misc but not smoking is sure having a positive effect on my weekly spendingI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

well failed again at keeping this updated. life just gets in the way!
£3,295 down from last update so I am heading in the right direction.
Random spending has signifigantly reduced except this week where I seem to be regressing. Keeping well on top of my projected repayments so no worries there but do still need to work on random spends & also sticking to the shopping budget & working to my meal plans.
But I am a work in progress so I will, progressI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Ok been 3 months again!
I "forgot" that we bought ds bedroom furniture on Very pay in 12 months scheme last year (pre improved habits) so have added it to sig.!!!
Have also decided that the DF date will have to be pushed back as my job is precarious atm & need to put away £500 a month between now & Christmas to cover the risk of being jobless early next year. The last time unemployed it was 4 months & I blew through £6k savings in 2 months (I know! what a dope) so hope that I will be able to stretch whatever I manage to put away much longer next time.
As our rent & hh bills = £1,500 I hope that between savings & oh salary we will survive for 3 months without getting desperate.
The tax man money I budget for doesn't count as savings as I have had 2 years late paying & have been told that this year they wont have it, so the 8k I am putting away for them is untouchable.
So, how it stands at end of May:
Total Debt = £12,630
Projected for end of June = £11,112 plus £500 saved.
If my job is secure by the end of the year I will use some of the emergency fund to pay off debt but I really need to have something put away, I am self employed & don't have the luxury of a redundancy payout coming my way
In other news;
Frugality is getting better, I consider every purchase now, my shopping bill is lower than ever but I still need to work on "random" purchases & impulse spends. I account for them in my budget but I still spill over. A work in progress.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Ummm.... not been great at this have I? Haha. Never mind. The main thing is I'm debt free. Yaya. 50 odd thou including 3 tax bills gone in just over 3 years. The hardest part has been budgeting for misc spends but I'll be reworking future budgets next week and plan to put aside 100 a month for those completely off the chart unexpected situations.
I slept properly for the first time last night in years.
Now to save for a house move to the country in a few years.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
