We were thinking of buying either the roomster or the octavia a few months ago. Realy liked both cars, each one test drove very well the only thing that went against the roomster was that it was a new untried model that may have inherited a few problems from the fabia (on which it is partly based) Try https://www.briskoda.co.uk , a very usefull Skoda users website.
Enjoy your car hunt. Neil0 -
Given the fabia is 6/7 years old I would think most problems would be ironed out, any other niggles can be sorted within warranty period.
Both well received.
