I have the right to respond to unwanted calls how i think appropriate.
I don't know why you're telling us. You're obviously on a database of people who have (or have had) Sky equipment. It seems to me that the quickest way to end these calls would be to tell the caller that you no longer have this equipment.

PPI and PC "infection" cold calls are a different matter entirely.

Then why make reference to the TPS when it's not even applicable in this instance?

Jesus, it's not hard. Insist they remove your info. If they don't, ask to speak to a manager and get them to confirm your data will be removed and a time scale in which they will do it.

If they still don't then make an official complain in writing.

I have never had any insurance with any company when i had Sky and that was 18 months ago.My concern was i have only just stated receiving these calls. As the phone number was withheld the chance of making a complaint to India would be pretty slim .I am sure John , Jim or Sam or whoever wouldn't really care.about me wanting to make a complaint.
As for being willy ,its the nicest thing i have been called for years.

You're simply on a database of people who have (or have had) Sky equipment and, as such, you may be interested in purchasing insurance for it. It's irrelevant that you haven't taken insurance in the past.
If you simply tell them you are no longer using this equipment the calls will cease. You don't have to tell them you are now with Virgin.

You didn't need insurance for the first 12m as Sky give a 12m warranty on all the equipment. That has now expired, hence the calls.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
