Barclaycard ppi

Hello,
I got inspired to try and claim back ppi from barclaycard. Inspiration from pal who got 1500 from loan-and c/card without even filling form in! It was early 90's when i had cards so I didn't have any details. They confirmed 2xcards both with ppi and sent forms.
Sold over phone, person said if I died my mum would be asked to pay it back, didn't ask re my job (12 months sick pay and life insurance, followed then by contracting work)
I'm sure lots of similar posts but wondered in yr (clearly vast) experience whether I have any hope. It's a long time ago but was told if I died last thing my parents would need is being 'recovery target' for my c/card balance. I think that's pressure selling but doesn't mean mis sold. Best to expect nothing and hope for something?? Will they send me breakdown of what I paid anyway if they agree misfiled or should I ask for that if they offer anything?
Really appreciate the virtual help and support.
Thanks

No idea. Your firend may have had an auto-payout. Depedning on whether there are records left, that will determine whether you were missold and that then determines whether you are refunded.
You should have sent a SAR before you started to see what records are left.

If they do refund you, they may have to guess at the payments, due to no records etc [ if there are none]

You will have to wait and see.

Since you've already complained a SAR is useless to you now. However, for information, it's a Subject Access Request for all information the Bank still holds on you for at least the last six years and (sometimes) more.

    Hello again,
I have received a letter from Canada Operations regarding an egg loan saying they think I may have been mis old.
Should I send a SAR with the form? It was a 7k loan over 5 yrs but was paid off early after about 3years. I don't have any paperwork.
    Please can you advise?
Also I've read a few posts re c/card ppi being calculated differently to loan ppi. I don't understand the c/card bit about the acct being in credit?
I always had a balance owed and paid more than minimum amount but rarely cleared the balance. Please can anyone advise how c/card ppi is worked out?
    Thanks in advance.
