Help- BT How can i get them to sort something

Changing my fathers phone line.

Called in may- Got it all sorted , new line just needs to be activated, no need to enter property etc......only a week left till move..

Called today to change date of change over, So in 4 calls I have had 2 it cannot be done on a weekend , 1 they have fixed it for the weekend and another saying that it has done so on for the weekend.

So just to be fair......I called again,

OMG I wish I had not.

So now not only do i get told they cannot do a weekend , but said nobody had put it through for the weekend as previous adviser had told me .But was now telling me the line was not active and would need a technician to come out to the property,

So she puts me through to her manager......Who tells me order has been put through for 17th.(weekend would be 15th)not 15th as i have been previously told by 2 operators.

    How better can it get.

    Line manager shoves me off to order management... Who is as useless , Do you ever get the feeling they speak so their words are ambiguous.

    Tell me doesnt know when its been changed to 17th. Eventually after me asking he says chaged this am(would have been the 1st call) but would not pin point on what day it would be done...........well if they can do it 15th otherwise it will be 17th.
    Did also state line is open..................

    How on earth do you get defininative answers with this company.

    Anyone got a complaints line number.

    Just an edit...father has Alzheimer so tel line is imperative

    So i still do not know what date line is getting installed and father will be without line for however long......what a bunch of !!!!!.

    There isn't a phone number to complain about BT, believe me I looked for it.

    The only way I got my BT nightmare sorted was to post on the utilities board here and followed up an approach by the BT rep there.

    No other way ofgetting them was possible and every thing I was promised when I phoned the advertised number never materialised.

    Edit to add sorry phone, web etc board not utilities.

    Go on the BT site and contact a moderator on the phone forum. I got a complicated problem sorted out this way.
