    1. Check with the (Northampton?) county court that it is genuine.
    2. Notify the court that you will defend the case (tick the appropriate box), and ask for the extension from 14 to 28 days to prepare your defence.
    3. Start a new thread on https://www.pepipoo.com where there are a number of very clued up contributors able to help you with your defence.
    4. Ignore any PM offering help from anyone with fewer than about 1,000 post counts (but there are one or two with lower counts who can be trusted - you'll get reassurance from the forum when you get an offer of help)
    5. Be prepared to scan and email an unredacted copy of your papers to your helper (confirms your genuineness as some PPCs troll the forums and could try to waste helpers' time with false documents).

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It may be genuine, but it is not legitimate.

Out of interest when was the "offence" (be vague - a couple of months ago. last year or several years ago). I'm interested because I've ignored some of theirs.
