A & L Online Saver

Does anyone know why the "available balance" should be any different to the "running balance". I tested the DD system by transferring £10 which was on the 14th April, My running balance shows the £10 but the available balance is nil.

    Hi hansi,

This is just to do with money that is allocated for a payment that has yet to be cleared. In your case it is showing that the £10 is still in your account, but has been 'reserved' for a payment, in your case a DD. Both balances will read the same in a few days once the payment is cleared.

Their system doesn't look to work in real time fully.

I have an online saver and a bank account with them.

Last night approx 10pm I transferred money online between the accounts and although the balance has been updated in realtime the transaction history has not.

I expect this to be sorted and re-alligned by tomorrow morning.

The A&L systems may go down for updates at 8/9pm like the abbey systems do.
