Santander Credit Card PPI Claim

Options
Hi there

I recently found out that I have PPI on my current Santander Credit Card. Has anyone used Santanders own PPI phoneline to make a claim rather than sending them letters? If so, was it successful?

Also, I genuinely had no idea that I had PPI on my card. I applied in branch around 6 years ago, and have no recollection of PPI being mentioned. I asked for a copy of my original application form but they no longer have it in their records. I'm not sure which approach to take in how I report the claim - any thoughts? I have been unemployed twice whilst having this card - if I knew I had PPI, it really could have helped me out with my finances!

Any help on this matter is very much appreciated!

The method of complaint has no impact on the success rate of the complaint. The complaint reasons are the key thing (although complaint payment size is as well as small amounts are frequently paid out automatically).

Give reasons for complaint as be prepared to back them up with evidence where needed. Also be prepared to be answer why, despite getting 6 years worth of statements, you didnt know you had it.

Apart from that, it is very easy to complain.
