    So you don't know when they came, but you're going to tell the council they broke it anyway, despite the fact it could have been a cyclist / drunk on the way home / a kid with a stick or toy? Not forgetting it was a week ago? :D

    Good luck with that! Wish I worked at the council some times.

    Sorry, old age, I just can't remember exactly what day it was, forgive me.

    But I know I was parked there when they came, I know my mirror was there before they came, I know it can't have been a passing cyclist or motorist because the pieces were on the grass not on the road, no way would a child walking past with a stick or a toy, a drunk or cyclist have been able to do the damage that has been done without causing further damage to the car. Which is why in my OP is said 99% sure it has to be the grass cutter. Oh, and there's the big give away that the pieces I found on the grass have blade marks in them where they've been run over by the said grass cutter.

    So, your point is? :D
