insuring a hired car?

i want to hire a car for about 2 weeks (maybe more) but how do you insure it
i am new to car insurance (well will be), i am 21 and would have only passed my test with 2~4 months. I dont want to buy a car thus i dont want to pay insurace for a full year just to use a car for 2 weeks. How does the insuracne work on a hired car? thanks

When you hire a car the insurance is aranged by the hire company, but I am sure you will find it really difficult being under 25

found one... 240 GBP + Young Driver (21-22 years) 210 GBP... £450.00 for 2 weeks, cheaper to go abroad :rotfl:
