Fuji Finepix Z1 -problems with pics...

I've got a Fuji Finepix Z1 and recently it has started to develop lines across the pics that I take, but when I use the movie mode it works fine.
Anyone got any ideas what is causing this as I have tried all the setting to no avail

but to me that looks like the camera is failling.
