Wonga Loans

Hi All
Last year I had two instances of someone taking out loans in my name from Wonga which ultimately led to them as showing defaulted on my credit file with Credit Expert. One has since been removed but the second still shows as defaulted, although checking today I noticed a D and then a zero against the status code.
I have had to make numerous calls to sort this out, but now have a defaulted account showing on my report that is nothing to do with me.
How can I get this sorted as Wonga are absolutely useless at sorting anything out. Can I contact another organisation to complain?
Regards Gary

You could put a notice of correction on your credit files whilst you try to get this sorted.
It seems odd that wonga have agreed to remove 1 account and not the other. Do you have anything in writing from them that they agree that the removed account was identity fraud and that you were not responsible.
Have you made a formal complaint to wonga?
Once you have made a formal written complaint and given them 8weeks to provide you with a resolution the next step would be to complain about Wonga to the FOS.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi, Basically they said they would remove it, it is shown as cleared, but obviously as defaulted.
I think I will complain direct to FOS.
Many Thanks for your reply.

If the payment history shows a "D" this doesn't mean "Defaulted", it means "Dormant" - which is not negative.
Whilst it is true that you should push the complaint until they expunge all history of the account from your credit file altogether, you should rest easy that as it stands it doesn't sound like the data is negative.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
