Fiesta P2135 error code

My fiesta 2005 1.25L has been sluggish and pulls back when I drive recently.
The orange engine management light came on the dashboard. I have a diagnostic reader which gave me an error code - P2135, there was a few more details too from the reader.
Has anyone had this problem on their fiesta, if so how was it fixed and what did it cost?
Thanks

Did you not get your answer already over on passionford?
If you dont have the mechanical knowledge to resolve based on what they're telling you, you may need to leave it with a mechanic?0 -
I cleared the error code which seemed to work, but this morning the car seemed to pull back when I was driving.
I thought there might be some youtube, or similar, video showing how to "Check the multiplug wiring to the tps"
I read that people get charged up to £100, sometimes more, for a garage to run a diagnostic test on the car. But if I have cleared the code they won't be able to find it?
Would like to clean/lubricate parts, tighten up screws etc to see if the error code appears again before I go through the expense of taking the car to a garage.0 -

Plug your code reader in to see if any codes are being stored, but chances are they're not yet until your engine management light comes on.
You need to find a small garage - probably on recommendation - who can sort this out for you. I've a guy i use who charges a tenner to plug in to his diagnostic equipment, and £12 per hour for labour.
Blindly fiddling about disconnecting wires and reconnecting them is very unlikely to resolve the problem.0 -
First fix is break the connection, clean the terminals and reconnect. That should hold it for a while, but it probably needs a new accelerator assembly.0

Check the voltages on the throttle sensor. Usually 3 of them, One rises, One falls and the other is a checksum voltage to make sure it doesn't have a senile moment and go racing off when you have not touched the throttle.
Or get a 2nd hand one to test it with.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thanks for the replies. Looks like its beyond me having a fiddle around with things so I'll have to find a good garage.
@Paul - motorguy, I wish I had a mate like yours....0 -
If the code reader had live data it would probably show the throttle voltages.
I have a cheapo unit that works on Fords its called an F-Super. Plenty on Ebay. USB so a laptop will be required.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
