FIT & Changing Energy Supplier

We've been on an npower standard tariff for eight years, so it's about time we changed energy supplier and/or tariff. But we have solar panels and the Feed-In Tariff is paid through npower. I'm not sure what would happen when we change supplier. Does anybody have any experience of doing this?

They're entirely separate. Switching your supplier does not switch your FIT's provider, unless you choose to do so. nPower are compulsory participants in FIT's, as are all the Big Six.
Standard tariff for 8 years is just throwing money away.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks very much Macman. And I agree, it's about time we changed tariff - I'm sure we will soon.0
