Does anybody have any ideas as to what value avios points are when redeemed against a first choice holiday???

50000 Avios is about £50 - Roughly their face value in clubcard points0

Depending on where you want to go, you may get better value by using Avios for flights and then using remaining Avios for discount against hotel/car hireEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0

I find best value from short-haul European flights or upgrades after paying cash for premium economy long-haul.
I don't know the answer to your specific question, but when looking at hotels and car hire they work out at about 6p per point. This is a very rough guide only though.0
