Can I bring a PS3 on a plane?

Hi all,

I am moving to Australia with my boyfriend in July, flying Etihad.

He'd like to bring his PS3 and desktop computer with him -.- and he is only comfortable to carry these in his hand-luggage.. Does anyone know whether this is allowed?

I've tried to find a contact number for Etihad but there only is a number for the UAE..

Cheers
E

That shouldn't be a problem as long as his carry-on adheres to Etihad's allowed dimensions/weight. I've travelled with videogame consoles in my carry-on before and obviously plenty of people travel with other electronic equipment such as laptops.

Not many take a desktop computer into the cabin though!

You were lucky you didn't get caught with that one - illegal to bring meat into many countries.

Of course but the point is there's no reason to think desktop computers are probited when laptops are not.

Yes, and if you fly Qatar, and your lass brings a telly you'll be able to plug it in and play it :D
