AI great for families with kids who want to eat and drink juice all day, good if you dont mind kids running round and round the pool, splashing and screaming and generaly having a whale of a time, not great for couples though, unless you enjoy watching and listening to the former. Not the best idea for a cuddly snoggy holiday, unless you just eat there and head off out of it for the day. If it,s a cheap option i.e. last minute bargain, then go for it

Don't go to Kos in May and expect nightlife.
Many bars won't even be open..

Forget all-inclusive. Definately not for groups of men or women in the med . The quality of food and drink is very rarely any good, and as already stated these hotels are teeming with kids.
I think you have missed the point of self catering. Most people don't do any cooking , its just that you get facilities so you can make a cup of tea/coffe, and also have a fridge to keep drinks cool. Its often cheaper than B&B ..

Lanzarote would be a good base for your age group. Puerto Del Carmen has some nightlife, but its not 18-30 crowds. It would suit your age group well.

Thanks for all your help. I've been looking at AI holidays on the net and have looked all the ones in our budget up on trip advisor and I have to say that a lot of them don't come out of it very well. So I think we may have to rethink. Tell you what isn't considering 6 people when looking for a holiday hard work!
