Wedding dress altered incorrectly-my rights?

When you tried the dress on at the 3rd fitting, found it was too tight but was told it still needed to be taken in at the bust, why didn't you insist on a 4th fitting, by which time the dress should have been fully altered to your satisfaction?

Why did you allow the dressmaker to 'thrust' the dress at you?
Why didn't you insist on checking the dress when you collected it and also why didn't you insist on trying it on?
(Especially in view of your experience at the 3rd fitting.)
