Car Parking Partnership - 2012 Ticket

Hi all,
My wife received a Civil Parking Notice of £20 from Car Parking Partnership on 07.11.12 for parking in a non-staff space because there were no staff spaces available. (Manchester Royal Infirmary)
We have received 2 reminder letters for the new amount of £60 on 31.01.13 and 04.04.13.
Then we received the Final Reminder for £60 on 09.05.13.
Of course we have ignored all of these so far as per advice form this forum
Now we have received a Pink Notice of Legal Proceedings from I.C.C. Legal Services (UK) Limited on 31.05.13 saying we have until 07.06.13 to pay £72.
Question is, do we still keep ignoring as I'm sure when I searched the forum back in November the advice was to ignore 100%.
Now when I search the forum, the advice seems to have changed to appeal or similar.
Any advice is welcome before 07th June please.
Thanks, Daniel.

Yes, continue to ignore. It's just another threat in the standard chain. You're well beyond any opportunity to appeal, so keeping quiet is the best option.
You only need to act if you get genuine court papers (pretty unlikely), in which case come back here to get help in your defence.0 -
As posted here, that pink letter has been doing the rounds since at least 2011:

Holy Thread Resurrection!
Thought I had heard the last of this until just recently::mad:
31.05.13 - Last Pink Letter - thought that was it.
18.12.13 - Letter from PS&P asking for payment of £96.
27.12.13 - Second Application from PS&P asking for outstanding arrears of £96.
06.01.14 - Third Arrears Notice from PS&P for £96.
This latest letter dated 06.01.14 at the end says "Should you fail to comply with either of the requests above, within 7 days of the date of this notice, we shall instruct our External Collector to attend your property for the purposes of collecting the debt in full".
Should I still be ignoring these letters as I have noticed on the forum that the law changed in October 2012 and date of our ticket was 07.11.12?? (November)
I can't believe I am still receiving letters 14 months after the CPN was issued by Car Parking Partnership, is this normal??
I'm not usually one to start worrying about things like this but its really annoying me now.
Thanks everyone, Dan.Competition Wins:

seems to me that a lot of people are getting this letter from the debt collectors
without a court case and CCJ they cannot do anything as far as I know, so as you have not been to court it seems like empty threats they should not be making
post #2 told you this0 -
Debt collectors can't issue court papers. Only the PPC or the landowner (or the legal representatives of either) can do so.
Here's the risk of CPP taking court action:

Same as that thread, read both pages, just like you only one letter ahead of you, maybe.
CPP did not file any small claims in the past year and a debt collector cannot; there is no 'debt' to collect and no 'credit agreement' in default, is there?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'd love to be getting letters from PS&P. They sound like a right bunch of Mormons. I think that's how you spell it.....0

Hi Dan
I'm in exactly the same situation as you. Same place & reason for ticket. I've received the same letters from PS & P on the same dates as you. I've decided to continue to ignore them as suggested. Perhaps we should keep updating of new letters/threats, as if we do eventually go to court we'll have a defence as it appears that there are insufficient park spaces for the number of permits issued. When a new permit was issued it stated that it did not guarantee a space, when I asked where to park if there were no staff spaces available they had no alternative option despite the fact that a monthly parking charge is taken directly from wages.
Keep us up to date of the letter chain
