Adrian Flux modified quote

Just thought I would let people know I got a very competitive quote with Adrian Flux on a modified 1993 Mazda RX7 of £430 for the year. It is on a classic car policy.

It is garaged at night and limited to 3000 miles but they beat Peter Best classic insurance by £100.

I am 29 and live in a suburban area.

Yup, and for someone else they will be terrible - I know for my car they were ~£3,000 more expensive than my current insurers who charge ~£700

The nature of insurance is such that almost no one is cheapest for everyone unless they are intentionally selling at a loss to grab market share but with SII and other activities/ legislation over capital holdings its unlikely an insurer or broker will have deep enough pockets to slash prices across the board
  • Still it will help to offset the impending engine rebuild costs or 15mpg consumption :rotfl::D

That doesnt sound that cheap. I insured MGB's, Range Rover;s, Mini's etc for around £100 with similar terms.

Agreed value and salvage rights etc. Checkout the classic car mags.

Yeah but were any of those cars running 400bhp? Probably not.

It was the cheapest quote I could get through 4 classic companies.

Already been rebuilt and it does 16mpg actually! :p
