When is the best time to buy a new car?
Options
Looking at the latest Focus price list, it states from 1 May - 30 June. I know towards the end of June would be better with the dealers more likely to put it discount and maybe some free accessories. But the closer it gets to the end of June, should I wait for the new price list that comes out after the 30 of June, would the discount then be greater?

Buy one with the old reg when the new reg comes out and all the snobs buy the new reg one to show off to the neighbours. You get a new car, only difference is the registration and probably a few k if your lucky.0

One of the reasons people buy a new car is to get the latest reg. plate. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
August time is cheap, new reg has been out for quite a while, people are waiting for the next one to come out and other people are on Holiday so business drops and so do prices0

You're only trying to impress other people by paying an extra few £k for the latest reg. Besides you can get an old reg one and for the amount you save go to the trouble of buying a more desirable reg
Maybe a private one.

So? This year I decided to buy a brand new car and I don't regret it, yes I did want to show off the fact that I can afford a brand new car, and I now know my cars full history.
If a car is being sold after 6 months of ownership there is either something wrong with it or it has been thrashed, I don't want either of these!0 -

Many are sold at a reduced price simply because they're pre registered and haven't been touched and you're saving money simply for having a different reg.0 -
The new Reg doesn't mean I thing to me, will be buying in Belfast too where the Reg system is totally different and no such thing as new and old.
So which option would you expect to be cheaper - the new price list, or the late discounts from the current price list as the dealers need to meet their targets0 -
