What's longest you've waited for a decision? Over 12 months, like me?

Yeah, seriously...

I made the complaint(s) on 23rd May 2012. One success, one rejection and two in limbo. To be honest, I'd given up waiting, but today I just thought 'I wonder...?'

...they've 'escalated' them again. By 'escalate', if my experience is anything to go by, I think they mean 'put to the top of the pile marked 'unimportant'.' Call handler was mildly unapologetic, but then again I could barely understand what (s)he/it was saying half the time.

    Someone here has been waiting 7 years.
    The norm seems to be 18 months if the bank or whoever dispute your complaint.
