Can I return this item?

I bought a t-shirt from Superdry a month or so ago. It has been washed twice (instructions on label followed) but has developed holes in both sleeves (short sleeved t-shirt). There is nothing in the washing machine that could have caused the holes.
Can it be returned as faulty or am I just chancing my luck? It's more annoying that anything as I never treat myself to new clothes (saving for a house!)
Thanks.

Are the holes on seams or the middle of the fabric?0

Middle of the fabric, it's so weird!0

I've seen this loads of times (I'm a retail manager)
Have you CARFULLY run your hand on the inside of your drum to make sure there are no sharp bits?
Was it washed with anything with a zip or studs?
Very soft fabrics can catch on the smallest of things.
Having said that when a customer has been adamant its not their fault, I'd usually offer an exchange as a goodwill gesture.
Just be prepared to answer all of the above questions with confidence, and they might just exchange it for you

It might just be more hassle than it's worth! Fabric is good and thick, nice quality. I will double check the drum but I am almost 100% certain nothing it could have caught on. It was washed with other t-shirts as well, nothing on the other clothing.
If I find the receipt, I'll see what they say. If not...I'll probably wear it anyway!
