Debt Freedom

Options
Hello Diary land,

I have decided to start a diary here, so that I can post my daily ups and downs, downs seem to be the normal.

Although I am not in a lot of debt (2,000), thats enough to me as only my wage coming in. I spend money as if its going out of fashion. I just don't seem able to save. Got to spend any spare cash I have.

I have 4 payday loans ( hate myself for being so stupid), that I am in the process of arranging repayment plans for. I owe money to my mam and to my friend.

I can manage my outgoings, if I could just get these payday loans cleared. Then my mum and friend.

I need to learn that I do not have to spend spend spend. I need to learn to make do and mend and be thrifty. A tall order for me.

Thank You for reading :)

Payday express have agreed to a payment plan of £50 a month for 9 month

Quickquid have agreed to a payment plan of £25 a month for 9 month. My 4 payday loans were costing me £380 a month in interest. One loan I will clear next payday and that leave 1 more to sort out.

Both have froze interest and balance.

I have not spent any money today, sat around the house being bored, as I am on my days off. Must find something to interest me, rather than spending money.

I am going to have to be a genius with food, as not a lot of cash left and its got to last 3 weeks .

    Thank you for reading

Pop over to the old style boards and you'll find lots of tips for cheap or weird meal concoctions, and how to get the most out of your food budget.

If you're bored, there are threads on how to raise your income doing online surveys, and cheap ideas for days out, like museums, galleries, walks, etc.

Challenges like reading all your books or watching all your dvds before you are allowed to buy new ones help you see what you've got. Same goes for clothes shopping - have a proper look through your wardrobe too.

If you find lots of things that you don't want/need anymore, think about ebay, or doing a boot sale. Raise even more money while not spending it.

Do an inventory of all your toiletries, and give yourself a pamper night. And don't buy anything until you've used it up! I saved a fortune on this one - why does anyone need five bottles of bodywash and 36 loo rolls when they live alone? I have no clue how that stockpile built up.

Good luck, and keep positive x

Hello and thank you all very much for reading and posted replies :A.

My mobile phone has been disconnected this morning, due to none payment, but that is the least of my worries. My 18 month contract finishes on the 13th of July, i do not need a upgrade, I would like one but do not NEED one. I can get a Sim for £10 month and it gives me nearly the same as my contract did. My bill is usually around £40 a month, so that will be a saving.

I also have a provident loan, last payment of £44 to be paid on the 28th of this month (payday), so thats another saving, my payment have been £50 a month, just last payment that is £44. Savings will then £80 a month.

I have been on the old-style board, wow what a fab place also looked at the make do and mend stuff. 1000s not 100s of ideas. I am quite a versatile person and can put my hand to most things, its just that I cant usually be Ars*d  shocking attitude I know.

I am looking at free ways to relieve the boredom. I am looking at stuff to sell and stuff I can reuse or recycle. I have a sewing machine, so looking at sewing and mending.

£2.60 spent today, 2 loaves of bread, that were on special for £1 each, put them in the freezer and bought DH his daily paper. Todays meals already in. I do not begrudge him his paper, as he asks for nothing and spends very very very little, he is a star, does most of our housework.

    Thank Y:)u

My friend was right to direct me in this direction, yous are truly :A people x
