Chickens - where to get them?

I am thinking of getting some chickens to keep in the back garden, our neighbours have some and they always wander in our garden and I love them. So anyway, where can I get some? I live in Shropshire, nr Telford, and would really appreciate if someone could recommend a place I could go.
Any help or advice would also be appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi lauralla, Have you tried asking on freecycle? We have quite a few requests for chickens on our freecycle. Good luck. demented

    Thanks for all your replies everyone. I shall look on freecycle.
    Although I say they are my neighbours, they live at the bottom of my driveway, and they live in a flat - we live on an old farm estate. But anyway, I don't actually see them that often - just their chickens!
    I will try to speak them at some point!:D
