    Thanks Gemmzie,

One more thing - Sky are not charging for SKY+ from 1st July.

Will this apply to an 'FTA' card?

    Steve

I meant to mention that acutally, no it won't

To get it free you have to be subscribing to at least the two mix package, which is £7.50 - it's probably better value to have that

So is £7.50 the cheapest package then?
I currently pay £15 & was going to cancel.

We currently have multi-room costing £10 per month in the conservatory which we hardly ever watch - does anyone know please if it is possible to use a free to air card for the second box whilst keeping the normal package on the main (Sky+ box) in the lounge. I realise it would not be as many channels as the main package but for how often we use it that would not be a problem. Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

I was an existing sky customer and just cancelled my packages, I still get all the freeview channels. It wasn't an error or an offer because when I re-subscribed for the Christmas period and then cancelled again in January we were back to the same freeview channels. They did try to offer me Sky+ box for free to stay with them, but I resisted temptation!

Is that correct? So I should expect a reduction of £10 per month on my bill?

Yes, sorry it is, they quoted us £7.50 for a year when we phoned and threatened to leave.

    Thanks for this.

I've just cancelled my £47 a month subscription for Sky+, Sports and an extra box. After the 30 days notice, I'll see what is left after they switch everything off and, if needs be, get an 'FTA' card later.

Slight slip up with cancelling my direct debit as I waited for them to cancel it though, as they say they'll charge me £4 for a final invoice, but I made it clear that I'm not going to pay that for a bit of paper......;)
