Can't Remove Washing Machine Pump Filter

I have a Bosch Clasixx 2466 Washine Machine and something is stuck in the Pump Filter which is preventing me from removing it.
I can turn it only about 1/4 turn and then it is stuck.
Any ideas ?

Without sounding condescending, is it one of those you turn a quarter turn then just pull off?

If not you could tilt the machine back, hoping the object moves, then try it.

No, the filter needs a few turns before it can be removed.
I may think about tilting the machine at a later date.
The machine still works perfectly well but I guess I will eventually have to fix the problem.

Whatever is stuck in there is jamming the filter and, all too often, teh only way to get it out is to break the housing I'm afraid.

Just last week we had EXACTLY the same problem with our AXXIS 2450. Actually, it started with an error message (pump blocked?) When we could not remove the lid we removed the entire pump to the filter/pump chamber from the other side... In our case a pencil was wedged inside the pump and prevented the lid from turning. From the look of it the pencil must have been in there for a while and eventually had also damaged the pump propellers and now we have to replace the entire pump. That said, I would definitely recommend trying to remove the item from the pump chamber before it does any major damage to the pump.

Hurray !!
I finally managed to remove the Pump Filter Cap by unscrewing it, It was a small twig which was preventing it from being released.
