I also had a really rotten week 10 days, but I can't explain why. I thought it was just me, but it looks like it's not. Has anyone had a good week. Have all the buyers gone on holiday?
January was terrible for me , but at least I understood why.0 -
There are similair reports of slow sales on the dedicated ebay groups as well. Could it be anything to do with the 5p listing day tomorrow and buyers waiting to see if there are any bargains to be had next week as a result of the extra listings that will materialise.
My own sales have been steady, although I have more watchers than I have ever had before, I just hope they turn into buyers!

crotchless underwear?!! Now THERE'S an idea. lol
I recently shelled out £15 on a DVD collectors thing (hopin to make a proft by selling it to some bespectacled train-spotting anorak. lol) - Currently not doing so well, but I'm hopeful it'll do better than it currently is by the time it finishes Sunday.
I think a lot of ebay is all abou taking risks on buying stuf cheap you "think" will make more on ebay, especially items which are short in supply on there at the point of auction start. Sometime's its worked better than OK for me
(thinks back to the eight londons burning VHS tapes which I got for 50p each, but went for £27 + p&p on ebay
After that, ebay was suddenly flooded with tapes. lol) Money saving:

You are quite right TDIfurby, ebay can be a funny old place sometimes.
I can understand why 'cult' type vids like londons Burning do well, they tend to be only out in the mainstream shops for such a short time that people will pay over the odds for them later. I paid oodles for a VHS set of Neverwhere last year as I was desperate to see it again and the tapes were deleted, I even sold them back on ebay for more than I paid once I had watched them.

LOL, i still remember when i HAD to get up at 5.30, leave the house at 6.00, drive for an hour then set-up a market stall by 7.00am in time for the punters at 9.00. Nice in the summer, but a !!!!!! in winter....those days are well behind me now, thanks to who ever is up there...:)0 -
I can't understand E-bay sometimes. We put items on and one week they get no looks at all but another week and they go bonkers!! Then it annoys me the weeks when items go for their starting bid of 99p......oh well....someone out there gets a bargain....lol...:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

So it's not just me then! I've had a really bad week too, stuff sold much less than normal, let's hope it picks up for other items ... ...2p off is still 2p off!0

Bad week.................bloody awful since easter!!!
Only plus point my day of graft (5:30am start) resulted in a sunburnt face nice day to be out in the fresh air in the country.0 -
Well, just as I was saying money's heading down a bit, my "special item" - no offence I hope not detailing it... don't want to give any tips - has gone higher than ever sold for before, with 3 days to go still.

All these little bits and bobs do help pay some of the bills, like this £500 laptop I bought on a splurge and just shoved on the credit card.. PASS THE SCISSORS PLEASE!? lol
