Homepage trouble

Yesterday I published my website, only to be confronted by an "error 403" when I tried to access it via the internet, after trying everything I realised what the problem was: I tried to go to https://www.mydomainname.com but my homepage was actually at https://www.mydomainname.com/Home.html i have tried all I can think of but I can't find a way to make my homepage appear where i want it eg. https://www.mydomainname.com.

Your homepage should usually be index.html rather than Home.html. Try changing the file name to index and see what happens.

Your front page of the site should always be index.html as that is what the browser will look for when it hits the address. After that you just name the pages as you need them but you should always have index.html as your main front page. Also make sure all your internal linkage is good and that nothing errors out when you click through as this can upset the search engines when they start indexing you so that you show up in the search results.
