You could just accept that it's happened, and move on. There's not much difference in terms of costs between renting and owning, so rent for a couple more years than you planned to, while you work to pay off what you owe, and then buy when you re able to.0

Well quick update. After receiving letters from two CRAs saying BH had told them the info was accurate and their was nothing they could do to change it....
I have now received a letter from BH admitting the late default notice was an 'administration error' and that they will backdate it to October 2009 and for a lesser amount too!!! Plus a £25 cheque for the inconvenience!
Interestingly, they also mentioned they had enclosed the original Oct 2009 default notice but it wasn't with the letter.
I just clawed back 28 months of my life. Result.0 -
This is why you should never just accept things and move on. Fight your corner and you may just win. This also helps others.
