Different addresses on bank accounts

A family member has opened a bank account for my son using their address rather than ours (we gave them a copy of his birth certificate as a gift when he was born, and they used this for ID). As my son also has an account at our address, I am concerned that he might have financial problems in future due to having accounts for which I don't have the information, or due to having accounts at two different addresses.
Can anyone provide any advice on what impact this might have for my son.
I have tried asking the family member to close the account and transfer the money to the account registered at our address, but they refuse to do so as they don't see why it bothers me so much.
Thanks

How old is your son?
The only problem I can think of is with the credit file(s). It's bad to have different active active addresses reported to CRA(s).
That said, the address can be changed now or later without closing the account.0 -
You don't have a credit file until you're 18 as you legally can't have debt until that age. Wouldn't worry about it, just keep track of the paperwork/don't lose the account0
