Received a letter in the post from them the other day:

Barclays the cash-strapped sponsors of the cash-strapped Premier League have withdrawn their season ticket interest-free Barclaycard - obviously cos us cash-rich fans dont need it.

Told that I'm being moved onto Barclaycard Platinum which appears to have no benefits other than if you walk too close to an Oyster card reader you'll pay for your Tube journey twice.

Once the interest free part of the deal falls away, I will definitely be making a transfer. But definitely out of the order for those tens of thousands of fans who took out this credit card and who wont have the nouse to change it ending up paying larger amounts for ever-increasing season ticket prices.

BOO!

Do people in this country expect stuff to be "free" forever?

    It's not a "rip-off". It's just a shift in marketing !!!!!!.

got this all the time when working in a supermarket.
people would complain when the special offers are no longer available or free services had been withdrawn.

give someone something for free and instead of appreciate the offer, they expect it to be free always and complain when it no longer is

Were Barclays offering this to those buying Premier League season tickets only?
