Window profiles and security

I'm thinking of getting either Veka or Profile 22 windows. One company I spoke to do both types and say customers generally make a decision based on the look of the profile i.e. it seems to just be a personal preference. They said the only other difference is that one uses RCM for reinforcement and the other steel.

Which would you suggest? Is one preferable to the other?


Third option could be to look at Rehau instead, but I've heard that's a lot more expensive. Would this be better or are they all fairly similar?

Also, just a quick question about security, what do I need to ask for? Are there any additional upgrades I should be considering? All I know so far is they come with shootbolts and mushroom something-or-other (sorry can't remember the name!)
