Ryanair cheap flights - booking difficulty

I have been trying to book flights to Carcassone with Ryanair for 28th June-30th June (and haven't done this before).
The first page shows the fare as £20 per person including tax and charges, but when I've filled in the details of dates, and passengers and clicked to the next page, it shows as excluding taxes, and the cheapest price then is £182 for 5 passengers.
What exactly am I doing wrong?? Help much appreciated!

Ryanair flights are all sold as one way, so the price of London-Carcassone is from £20. Your outbound flight is 1p + £19.99 taxes and charges which is £20. The inbound flight is 1p + £16.39 taxes and charges which is £16.40, so the total return fare each is £36.40.0

Hi Serena,
When I do it, I'm getting £20 per person as the outward leg, but in total it does come to £182.
I get the following:
Going Out (Reg fare)
5 @ 0.01 GBP 0.05 GBP
Taxes, Fees & Charges
details 99.95 GBP
Coming Back (Reg fare)
5 @ 0.01 GBP 0.05 GBP
Taxes, Fees & Charges
details 81.95 GBP
Sorry can't give better news! xGone ... or have I?0 -

.....then you'll need to add another £10 apiece for your luggage, and don't forget to remove their insurance otherwise you will find that has been added too.
Oh, and then there will be another charge for using your credit or your debit card.0 -
maybe not a tenner a piece - I'm sure I could do a 2 night trip with just hand luggage, but my GF would probably need a suitcase! There isn't a card surcharge if you pay by Electron.0

Thank you dmg24 and PBA.
I think I understand how it works, but still don't follow the logic of how they set out their prices!!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
mmm... this is trickier than I first thought!!
We are only going for a quick break, so I'm sure that we could manage with one suitcase between us, or a backpack each. I spent a month in Bangkok last year with just a backpack, although my 15yr old daughter went white at the thought of trying to manage for two days...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
You would be amazed how much you can fit into 10 kgs! The only thing to remember is you can only take small size toiletries. But 10 kgs is more than enough to take straighteners, shoes etc! xGone ... or have I?0

You need to be aware of the restrictions on dimensions of your cabin baggage allowance. The details aree as follows:
Ryanair allows each passenger (excluding infants) to carry one small piece of hand baggage on board free of charge. The hand baggage must not weigh more than 10kg and be less than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, in dimensions (restrictions apply from certain countries) Click here for details. For the safety and convenience of all passengers, hand baggage must fit underneath the seat or in the overhead compartment.0 -
Thanks to all of you for helping. I have now booked!
I had to pay an extra £70 because I was in a bad mood yesterday and left it until this morning - the return 1p fare had disappeared - serves me right!
We are taking one case, as I'm not sure about what we are allowed to take on the plane, and I need contact lens solutions - not to mention my daughter's make up bag!!
I thought the debit card charge of £20 was a bit excessive though...
Fingers crossed that the B&B I have chosen is available, and now I'm really looking forward to a mini break and some warmth and sunshine! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
