Hello dear diary, I've missed jotting my thoughts down in you. It's been a very busy week and this is my first chance to sit down and think about the mortgage! It's usually a daily occurrence so it's a bit of a change for me.

On Sunday I worked at my friends shop again, earned £180 to op:T (spent £10 on a dress but will take it out of the clothing fund) dh is also hoping to have a bit extra coming in this month too which I may put towards the new kitchen or may split between op and kitchen...decisions decisions:cool:

Yesterday was the first day of the summer holidays. Went shopping and stocked up on lunch stuff and snacks for the kids, dd2 and I also made some biscuits to keep them all going. I managed to spend £48 in Ald! Which was good considering the amount of treat stuff I got. I didn't need to buy any meat though this week so that's why it came in under budget.

Today we went to the library and the girls are currently watching a DVD from there. In the holidays I usually let them get one each out a week. It's pretty reasonable and keeps them entertained for a while. I then discovered a lovely ice cream parlour in our local town so treated the kids( and myself) to a delicious ice cream. I've promised we'll go each week of the holidays and try a different flavour each time we go:) was £5 for us all to have one so was a lovely reasonable treat.

Tonight I'm off out to watch Grease at our local cinema with some friends...can't wait. I haven't watched that film for years, used to watch it every day when I was younger:cool: the tickets are already paid for so will just need taxi fare and drink money. Tomorrow dh and I are taking dd1 on the train to London to watch the anniversary games. I'm going to use the £50 my mum gave me last week towards the train fare as it was £76 for tickets. Only £26 to come out of the fun fund then:T we'll need to buy food etc when we're there but will try and be as frugal as possible:T

That's it for now, need to keep posting here to keep me motivated. Will catch up tomorrow!

Hello again diary, it's been a few days again, partly because I forgot my login details:o

I started off yesterday feeling really positive about the week and then I ended up having to drive dh to the hospital(routine appt) as he didn't feel up to it. So I had to do something with the kids and as it was lunch time I took them to lunch at Frankie & Benny's. It cost £20 for the 4 of us for lunch, including two courses for the kids so pretty good value but it's eaten into my weekly budget:(

Today has been a LSD, just £6.00 in the ice cream parlour as I treated my mum, she did treat us to lunch though so I think I got better end of the deal:rotfl:

We're having a store cupboard dinner today of chickpea burgers, courgette fritters and Mexican rice. I'm quite looking forward to it actually:)

Tomorrow we're off out to a local country park, I have no idea if it's free or not but I'll take a picnic and try and make it as cheap as possible:T

It's almost the end of the month:T that means mortgage overpayment time and I can update my figures :D can't wait!

Thanks Hurdler, I shall be taking a look at your diary later:-)

Well today has been miserable with the rain and it ruined my plans about taking the little ones to the country park. I ended up driving dh to the hospital again and instead if going to Frankie and Benny's again, I stopped at the co-0p and got sausage rolls, crisps, cookies (all the healthy stuff;)) for lunch. It cost £2.50 as I had a £2.00 voucher:T we sat in the car park with the rain hammering down on us having our picnic.

That was my only spend today, apart from some bargain Christmas/ birthday presents from Am@zon. Dinner tonight was a delicious meal that I hadn't tried cooking before, courgette and lemon spaghetti, it was really tasty and really cheap:T even the kids pretty much cleared their plates!

Tomorrow should be nice and sunny (yay) so i'll probably visit a near by NT property. Dh has yet another hospital trip which is the final one this week I hope. It's an hour there and back so is costing a fortune in fuel:eek:

Mortgage pay day tomorrow, I haven't worked out my op yet, will be doing that in a mo. hoping it's £200+

    Will update shortly

Thanks Ixia, just realised it is £326.01 as I forgot about our Halifax rewards:j

Well this week has been a bit of a nightmare, Mr C has been very been very unwell and we've had to make lots of trips to the hospital so money has been spent on quick and easy food. I don't care though, it's what was needed to make my life easier.

My parents are coming over today and are bringing us lunch:T so that's a nice treat. My dad is going to put me up a rotary washing line, that they were going to throw out:eek: Saving things from landfill and saving me money:T I'm hoping they might offer to mow the lawn as well:o (I can live in hope anyway)

I still haven't got round to making my op, so that is my next job to do, it's usually the first thing I do on the first of the month:cool:

I've got 4 things ending on eBay today, only 2 things have watchers though, another 5 things are due to finish tomorrow. Hopefully will make a few £ though.

Off to make my op now :)

    Evening,

Just checking in, not got too much to report. I've lost track of my cash spending this week. I usually get £50 out at the beginning of the week and try and make it last, but I was short on Sunday so got £20 out, spent Some on shopping and now I'm confused:o it's easily done:D

Tomorrow I'm going to do my monthly shop at T€sco, hoping to not spend too much, need loo roll though as we completely ran out, ended up getting a twin pack from the local shop for £1.79:eek: I'm taking the dc with me to stay at my mums for 2 nights so will need to stock Mr C up with easy tasty food. I'm looking forward to getting looked after for a couple of days, it will also do my shopping budget good :T

Today I took mr C to the hospital (again) and we ended up getting lunch in Cost@ another £12.50. I've spent a fortune in cafe's over the last few days. No more appointments for a couple of weeks now, thank goodness!

Made £15.99 on eBay over the weekend which was quite disappointing as lots of things didn't sell and the things that did only got 1 bid each despite having quite a few watchers. Better than nothing though and more clutter gone from the house:T

I seem to have got the holiday bug and I'm looking for a holiday for next year, I would really like to get something booked soon as we're having a bit of a rubbish time with dh's health this year do it will be nice to have something to look forward to. We haven't decided when or where yet so won't be rushing into anything. Dd1, Ds and dh all need passports though so it won't be cheap! We haven't been abroad for 3 years so I'm quite excited about going somewhere new:T
