Hello diary, sorry I've neglected you:o

I've been very busy and not much money saving has been going on...that doesn't mean I've been spending it though just not much happening:p

I checked my mortgage balances today and noticed that one of my ops hadn't registered, I was a bit confused by this so thought I'd better check the bank and I noticed that it had been returned:eek: on further investigation I noticed that I had put the account details in incorrectly:eek: luckily it wasn't someone else's mortgage I was paying though :rotfl: all paid now though so I'll be able to update my signature again in a few days:T

I have spent a little bit of money today, went shopping to Te$co, my budget is £100 per month and I over spent by £4...great start to the month that is:mad: will have to be extra careful on my weekly shop it Ald! Now.

I also ordered teacher gifts from hotel chocolat...not getting pre school teacher gifts, it's just too much! I have also ordered dd1 school uniform bits from the m&s 20% off sale and some Christmas gifts from the dotcomgiftshop sale...so in actual fact I have spent lots of money...nearly all of it is budgeted for though:A

Tomorrow we have dd2 sports evening with BBQ and bar so will spend a little money there, will be nice not to cook though:)

No other plans for the weekend yet, it's going to be a sunny one though:T

What a beautiful day:T I'm just sitting in the garden with my two little ones playing in the paddling pool, it's idyllic, it's so peaceful, it's really these little things that make me happy:)

This morning I went to the local town and posted some text books to webuybooks who are going to give me £7.41 for 3 books, much better than I could expect to get on amazon:T I also paid in some cheques and popped to the fruit and veg shop and got a huge bag of bananas for £1. They are all quite ripe but I can bake with them if they don't get eaten first:D

I was thinking earlier I probably won't need to go to Ald! this week so a saving of £50. I'm sure there's a few things in the freezer to make meals out of too.

I've put my dd2 ikea high chair for sale on fb for £5, hopefully that will go, I've got 2 more things to put up for sale too which I may get chance to do later or tomorrow. I've also got quite a few items to put on eBay next time there's a flw. Quite a bit of potential for making a few extra £ this month:T

Right dd has just poured a bucket of water on Ds's head:eek:

Hello and thanks tootoo, I'll get all 'decent' stuff sorted out over the weekend.

Well what an amazing day..yay to Andy Murray:j:j was very exciting watching Wimbledon, even though the little ones were doing their best to stop me from doing so:rotfl:

A lady has been in touch about the high chair I put on fb the other day, she wants to collect Tuesday so hopefully another £5 in my tin:-) I was going to do some ebaying tonight (my preferred eBay start day) I'm too exhausted though, will do it tomorrow, I don't suppose it will make much difference to the sale price, it's only kids clothes.

My dd1 has started a new hobby tonight that could be quite spendy, she went to her first Tae kwon-do lesson tonight and loved it:T I really hope she sticks at it because at 9 years old she's starting to get a bit of an attitude, so I'm hoping this will help her learn a bit of respect and discipline. She's generally a good girl but I want her to have something to focus on. It's £5 a session, plus grading, licences and suits etc but we do have a kids activity fund so should be ok. She currently has guitar lessons at school which are £5 a week, she doesn't seem to fussed about that, so I'll stop those in October.:)

My Christmas pressies arrived from dotcomgiftshop, most of them I'll keep but 3 I'm going to send back, that will be about £12 back in the bank. Still plenty of time to get bargains though...I'm not panicking yet:rotfl:

I read Martins email the other day and we've decided to fix the part of our mortgage that isn't. Will probably try and get a 3 year fix. We'll kick ourselves if interest rates start creeping up. I want to pay my money off the mortgage, not pay more interest!

I really need to make some cakes for lunches, it's too late now though, maybe I can whip up a quick microwave cake in the morning...one of these days i'll be more organised:rotfl:

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks for the smiles Gallygirl :D

Well once again I have neglected my diary. I did do a long update the other day but lost it all and I was too cross to type it up again...I blame the ipad:p

It's not been a very MSE week this week, I thought I'd try doing my shopping a little differently this week, I only needed fruit at the beginning of the week so I though I'd try the local farm shop...so I spent £12 on some grapes. Oranges, apples pears and oninon. That only left me £38 for the rest of the shopping. Went to Aldi and spent that but didn't seem to get much for my money. This weekend is going to be spent raiding the cupboards and freezer and being inventive. Back to getting my fruit and veg at aldi next wek.

Last night we took the mini Crumpets to the circus which was good fun. I got the tickets through groupon which was pretty good value- £16 for a family ticket, we then took them to McDonald's for dinner. The money for that will come out of the fun fund though:D

Not much planned for the weekend, I think it's flw on eBay so have a few things to list. May got to a local NT place and take a picnic as we're members. May as well make the most of our membership:T don't really have any money to spend so we'll be doing free fun things. Dd1 will have her 2nd tae kwon-do class on Sunday but the first 2 are free so won't be paying anything out til next weekend.

Having a little end of term picnic this afternoon with dd2's preschool at the local park, went to home bargains this morning to get biscuits as my contribution...spent £2 and my purse is pretty much empty:( must be more frugal next week.

I'm going to make a list of all the cheap/free activities to do in the summer holidays so when we're feeling a bit board we can look at the list and pick something to do...that's the plan anyway!

    Lunch time now

Well for tonight's dinner we have courgette fritters with a slice of ham and poached eggs. I'm sure it will be lovely. Can't believe I ballsed up the shopping budget so much this week:mad:. I think I will need to do my weekly shop tomorrow so I have things ready for the packed lunches on Monday morning.

Today has been a NSD for me, my folks came round and we sat in the garden and watched the little ones play. Dh went off to a bike/car show so spent about £34 out of the fun fund. He doesn't go out very often though so I can't begrudge him.

My parents very kindly gave me £50 today as they'd had a little windfall and I'm not sure what to do with it. I want to op it but I will probably use it for a day out in the summer holidays, it will free up some money in the fun fund though, so maybe I could op that?:p

It's so hot here, the little ones won't settle down :( I'm not complaining though!
