Quick query on clothing problem

I'm hoping someone can help with a query please. My husband bought a zip up hoodie type jacket made of sweatshirt-type material before we went on holiday but it is shedding loads of fluff everywhere from the inside of it. We've washed it 3 times to try to get rid of it, gone over it with a vacuum attachment, sticky tape to try to get rid of a lot of it, but it's still shedding over overything. Basically he can't wear it as it's covering the clothes he wears it over with loads of fluff. It was purchsed from Tu at Sainsburys and I'm wondering whether it would be classed as not fit for purpose and would be entitled to a refund or if he's just got to put it down to experience. Thanks for any help.

What did Sainsburys say when you pointed out the problem to them?0

Thanks, I'd initially phoned them and been told as it wasn't a fault as such there was nothing they could do, but I've just taken it into the store after work and they have given a refund after looking at it.0
