Hi there. I wonder if anytone could clear up what I should do in this case.
Earlier in the year, I bought some cycling shoes back in January and a couple of days ago the clasp broke.
I can get a replacement for the clasp at a cost of £20 which I will do if all else fails.
I bought them from Amazon at a heavily discounted price of £37, compared to the usual retail price of £190. They are still on sale at this price.
The problem is that when I contacted Amazon all they said was that they couldn't replace them as they no longer stock them. They did offer a full refund but obviously this is not to my advantage.
Do I have the right to insist on a replacement here?

In short no, the retailer can choose the cheapest option for them and as long as they either refund, replace or repair they will meet their obligationsDon't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

Not if they don't have them, no. Is it Amazon who stock them and not a market place seller?0

When you say "this price" do you mean £37 or £190 ? ( I presume the latter, as otherwise surely you just accept their offer of a refund and use the momey to but a new pair ).
You can't force them to offer you a replacement, offering a full refund is perfectly legit.0 -

Offering a partial refund is perfectly legit too
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
