Canada Square Operations

Hi,
I have sent into CSO a PPI form and they have upheld my complaint. Great news.
I have received a letter outlining the compensation.

Total PPI paid £6159.16
Interest £1016.44
8% interest £1788.19
Sub total £8963.79
Less Rebate Paid £1975.39

Total Comp £6988.40
I have to sign a letter and return it so they can raise a cheque.
But my questions are
1. What is rebate paid?
2. Is this a haggling process and should I not accept the first offer?
3. I have no paper work or evidence nor has CSO provided any. Should I take the cheque and run?

Thanks for your help.

    1. Was the loan paid off early?
    2. It isn't a haggling process
    3. Take the cheque and run

There is no "first offer", this is their full and final response. There is no reason to refuse the offer unless you can show the calculations are incorrect.
A "rebate" would have been applied to the originally agreed PPI amount when you settled early or consolidated into another loan.

No need to run, it's a legitimate payout.:)

  • Hi

Could I ask how long your claim took? I have had a second update later for my claim with CSO but neither that or the first define the start date of the "received" date.

Think its only a couple of weeks away from the 8 weeks but was hoping for anyone's experience's of starting claim to receiving offer etc. with CSO.

    Thanks

    Tony
