Hi everyone. Based on the changes to regs in October 2012, is the advice still to ignore, on the whole? I have a VCS ticket for overstaying and I'm desperate to ignore it, but I might be losing my nerve!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Looks like he might have succeeded :rotfl:
Bad night GD?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hey...why educate yourself when you can demand that someone spoon feed you every single word.0

OK, didn't expect that reaction.
I've read an awful lot of these threads, having never read a bizarre reaction like the one I got, I thought it was safe to use this forum to attempt to get an up to date feeling. There is a lot of conflicting information on the internet regarding this issue, from 'reputable' sources.
Never mind, as you were.0 -

If you have read the threads, then you will have seen the current advice. Most regulars now advise using POPLA. Some still advocate IGNORE. What else would you like us to do.
You will get the numbers in each camp by checking out a few threads. If you would like some specific opinion on your own case, then outline it and you will see how helpful people can be.
But we do get PPCs on here pretending to be genuine members and trying to waste our time. Given that there are hundreds of posts in the last week alone that would answer your question - and you admit to reading them -, you can't blame anyone for having suspicions.
As I said, come back for some help if you want it and we will be glad to help.0 -

Point being there's no conflict in advice if you read current threads (e.g. page 1 onwards on the forum). We do just get a bit frustrated about having to answer people every day who say 'I have read conflicting advice' but it turns out they've read threads dated months ago...there is no conflicting advice just Groundhog Day on here where we keep repeating 'if in England/Wales, do appeal and then appeal to POPLA with our help'.
On a parking forum it's the new threads that have the up to date advice.
Anyhoo, if you do appeal and get a POPLA code please do come back for advice on how to word a winning POPLA appeal because we can help with that - and it's not any old appeal like you may normally send (it'll lose). Examples of robust POPLA appeals are already on...the current threads on page 1 onwards though!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
